Who Are the Democratic Women
of Wilson County (DWWC)

WHAT WE BELIEVE
Democrats from across the state and nation are united by shared values that define who we are and what we stand for. North Carolina democrats strive to ensure that all North Carolinians, through hard work and sound choices have a fair opportunity for a productive, healthy, satisfying life, regardless of background, location, financial standing, sexual orientation or family structure.
WHO WE ARE
The Democratic Women of Wilson County (DWWC) is an auxiliary of the Wilson County Democratic Party. The DWWC meets every 4th Monday at 6:45 PM at the Wilson County Public Library from August through May, and any other month as needed.
WHAT WE DO
The Democratic Women of Wilson County (DWWC) is an auxillary organization of the Wilson County Democratic Party.

Supports and promotes the principles of the Democratic Party.

Encourages women to seek public office and to participate in Democratic Party activities.

Works with the North Carolina and Wilson County Democratic Parties to strengthen the party locally and throughout the state.

Initiates and carries out programs and projects on behalf of the Democratic Party that reflect the party’s values.

Promotes the election of Democratic candidates through events, which provide education, fundraising and service.

Supports local organizations such as the Wesley Shelter, Dee’s House and Save-A-Youth.

You blazed the trail in a New Day to the New Frontier. Your work surpassed that of any women's group in any campaign since the days of the suffragettes. . . you are the ones who made possible the majorities for President and Governor and the other office in the 1960 election.
